I have a 96 Contour SE (V6), so I believe that our cars should be the same.
DPFE=Differential Pressure Feedback EGR EGR=Exhaust Gas Recirculation EVR=EGR Voltage Regulator=EGR solenoid
They are all emissions related and used to recirculate exhaust back into your engine to be burned up.
All of the directions below assume that you are in front of the car facing the rear of the car.
The EVR is just to the right of the ignition coil. It is black in color on my car and has something that looks like a bottle cap on top. It is attached by two screws to the upper intake manifold.
The EGR is just behind the air intake tube (it is silver in color on my car). One side attaches to the upper intake manifold, the other side attaches to a metal pipe that runs to the back firewall.
The DPFE is below the EGR and attached to the engine. It is hard to see, but it is box shaped.
Hope this helps.
