Ok I know wheel weight is important, but how much of a difference does it really make? I currently have 17x7 rage 5.0's but would I notice any difference with, say oz superleggera's (6 lbs. less per wheel approx.)? I know that theoretically the handling, braking, and acceleration would be better, but would the difference be noticeable?

I think you should get rid of those 5.0's and give them to me!!! Anyways if you went with a lighter wheel it would kind of be like having one less person in your car. Just to estimate

it's all about centrifical force. More wheel weight causes longer acceleration since there is more intia for the wheel to overcome (since it weights more and starts at rest). It also causes longer braking for the exact same purpose. I would say 6lbs per tire would be more noticable than just one person...

Yes weight matters.
Heavier, wider wheels take more power to turn than lighter narrower wheels (momentum & friction.)

Has anyone with superleggera's or wheels that are at least 5lbs lighter than stock (per wheel) noticed any difference in driving?

Here's a good GENERAL rule to follow....for every 1 pound of reciprocating (anything that turns)weight that is shed is like taking off 8-10 pounds of dead weight. so yes, 6 lbs per wheel, 4 wheels, 60 lbs of dead wt. per wheel (just using the 10*6 as a generalization) thats approx 240 lbs of dead weight. That is a lot of weight to get rid of. If you want looks, go w/ 18s. If you want performance, go w/ the lightest 16" you can find.
