No matter what the specs are for the dash seperation, get it replaced. A problem is a problem. End of story. It took a couple of weeks for the dealer I used to order a new model dash from Ford, then it only took them a couple of hours to actually get it installed. Insist on having it replaced REGARDLESS of what they reccommend. If you need more seperation before they will replace it, make more seperation.
