Your throw out bearing is part of the Clutch Slave cylinder.
If you are going to yank the tranny for this,
consider replacing the entire clutch while you are in there.

Yes, you have to take off the tranny. If you pay to have this done, you will have to pay the same price you'd pay to get your clutch replaced. So yeah, I consider doing the clutch too.

also of note, most clutches you buy come with the slave cylinder/throwout bearing. I should have taken pics when I had the chance...

I'd like to know where you got it from for that price. Is that just the labor for the throw out bearing, or for the slave cylinder as well?
