I'm telling you right now, don't fool around with ratchets and taking off the wheel. Get yourself a Serpentine Belt Tensioner Wrench from Sears (Part number 00942179000). It's just too much work to mess around with, and much easier to get leverage on the tensioner.
The easiest way to get the belt off is, after you release the tension, slip it off of the idler tensioner pulley (The silver colored one). When you put the new one on and route it correctly, put it on the same way (Release the tension and slip it under the idler tensioner pulley). While you're at it, spin that idler pulley and make sure it spins smooth. If it has alot of grab to it, the bearings could be shot; a replacement part is only $20 usually, but you're going to need an offset ratchet to get at it. (Sears part 00944835000). When that idler pulley comes off, you're going to have to pry the pulley back onto the bolt, or it won't come out all of the way.
