What type of flying ? Are you looking for the most realistic flight sim for pilots ? Are you looking for a dog fight ? Period flying ?
Like anything depending on what you want out of it will make a difference in what answers people will give you

I haven't tried it, but I know many people who swear by M$FlightSim 2000... that's if you want to fly airliners, Lears and prop-jobs. I haven't checked military flight sims in awhile but after having Falcon 3.0 ...YEARS AGO!! <<=== my gripe.... I had anticipated Falcon 4, but gave up waiting about 3 or 4 years before it was released.... it should be good but I didn't check it out... I prefer Quake style and Thief style games now.... as well as xmame arcade classics rendered in openGL... nothing quite like pacman or gauntlet2 with antialiasing

Well I just got Command and Conquer Generals, and I have a handfull of other games so I'm looking for something new. I'm looking more for military fighter style flying games. I have MS Flight Sim '98 and it's fun but I wanna blow [censored] up!

I've actually only had the chance to play C&C Generals twice since I got it two days ago. It seems pretty cool though. I actually only played the first one (Red Alert) too. This is the first one I've played since so I couldn't tell you the difference. Generals is a lot like the first one IMO but you can only pick form USA, China and GLH (terrorist group - does not require power factories to operate). The weapons are more up-to-date and the graphics are far more advanced. I was actually really surprised about the graphics and how much better it is. There's a lot more cities, too. There's a lot of in's and out's to the game I have yet to learn though. Plus I didn't feel bad about buying it because I traded 4 games into EBX and got it for free, with $1.18 left over!

I've had it for awhile now and after playing Red Alert 2, I'd say it's pretty darn cool. They've cut down on the number of identical weapons, but they've included some interesting upgrades you get with "experience".
Also, you have to get used to the camera angle and the lack of remapping it's controls on the keyboard.
Oh yeah, you're gonna need a recent computer to play it as well. I've got a 1Ghz P3, 1/2 gig RAM, and GeForce2 and it can bog down when you fire a nuke off.
Overall, I wish the single player campaigns were longer, 7 levels a piece I believe, but if you play online you wouldn't mind.

Flight Sim 2002 PE is good. You have air traffic control. There are other aircraft to interact with. You have to wait for other aircraft to take off or land. Falcon 4.0 is a good F-16 flight sim. Very realistic. It does have some problems though. You have to DL alot of patches and the manual is about 2 inches thick.

There are three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way!
Isn't that just the wrong way?
Yeah, but faster!
