I posted something earlier about a cel code. 171 and 174. Those codes went away after replacing my front and rear oxygen sensor. for about a day the light stayed off and then it came back on. I got the code scanned and the mechanic told me that i have cel code 420. i when and searched for the code's info i found... [Catalyst System Efficiency below Limit - Bank No 1.] Does this mean i need a new cat. converter?

It means your bank 1 precat is going bad.

The lean condition you had was keeping the extra hydrocarbons from reaching the cats.

It was bad before, but not being used enough to trigger a code.
