If the metal is creased it will need smoothing and filler.
Most new hoods have a seperate top layer (skin) that can be reaplced seperately from the frame. This damage does not sound substancial enough to warrant that.
Any body work on a hood will require the entire hood to be painted. Flat surface areas can not be touched up without showing.
