You could make them fit together fairly easy, but requires a custom box. If you have 12's you could either notch the top of the box (would be be a big notch) so that the bar can still fit (side profile of the box would have a "U" shape) Or if you can determine the height of the bar, cut a square shaft through the box (or if you have port material, make it round). Basically you would run the bar through the hole you made, but the hole would be a sealed chamber, thus you are only losing air space and not air
