A major part of the problem is the propaganda machine of the
Arab world will continue to spew the one sided hate message. They will show
the civilian casualties in Iraq, and not show the picture of an American
Soldier helping people. The will not report that the EPW's (new speak for POW's)
are being treated better by us than they were by their own leaders.
The Arab world hates us in part because of our "one sided" policy towards
Israel. It has never occurred to them that if their policy was less one
sided (meaning to not advocate the total annihilation of the Jewish people),
our policy could and would be different.
-- not to mention that the major
groups of Iraqis seem to hate each other as much as they hated
Hussien, and can't get along with Turkey (a well-named State if ever
there was one) or Iran. Changing the regime is a laudable goal, but I
do not expect the next one to be a lot different than the last
hundred.
