True, but I think its dangerous to make broad generalizations about an entire nation. Sadaam is not the only Middle-Eastern leader to openly denounce the US, just the most flamboyant in recent history. Flag-burnings occur in countries that have officially supported us in the past, and in the current conflict.
I do agree that tens of millions of people who were oppressed by the Baath party are now much happier than they were, but it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone loves us. Despite what we may want to believe, there are Baath loyalists and supporters. There were people who might have been better off under Sadaam's rule. There are probably people who would rather have a crazy Muslim in power than a government put in place by Western Christians. These people will continue to exist after this conflict is over, and will always be a threat.
