The footage of the statues coming down, the American and Iraqi flags draped over the statues, and the Iraqis getting rides on the US military vehicles was pretty awesome.

i wonder which museums are in line to get some of those statues.
although they are arrogant statements, they are significant pieces of art in a very dark period for that country

There's not much left. The locals lopped the head off the statue and took off down the street with it, beating the crap out of it as they went.

It appears the Iraqi's have changed since they finally believe this is the end. I'd be for Saddam too if I thought I might be killed to revolt against him.

I don't care if they don't like us. A lot of people around the world don't, and we don't get all worked up about it; nor should we. But unlike some other countries, all I'd like to see is that they are grateful for their freedom that we helped to bring.

i dont really think they liked saddam to begin with. if they dont appear to like him or show favor towards him, they can pretty much consider themselves shot on the spot. i think now with saddam possibly being killed, iraqi's are now beginning to show their real feelings towards saddam and the US.
