Well, I have searched and searched and I found a lot of things to help me....but this case is a little different than most of them I have read...ok... My 98 SE V-6 5 speed runs rough at startup....the idle will roll from about 1200 RPM all the way down to 500....at 500, the car shakes and almost stalls, then the idle kicks back up...I have read about the vacuum leaks and plugs and all.....I only have 40,000 miles on the car....the hoses all look really good....here is te strange part....after I take the car around the block a few times....the idle is fine...no check engine light throughout this whole ordeal....any ideas?
Thanks!

Fluxuating idle is the typical symptom of a cold mixture problem.

Vacuum leaks are the usual reason for this. A vacuum leak can be a leaking gasket or hose. It can also be a leaking EGR valve or a stuck PCV valve.

Other reasons include low fuel pressure, a stuck open IMRC (preventing proper mixing), the MAF, a bad ECT, clogged injectors...
