Thanx for the input. I went to 3 different garages and re-tapping the pan is a possibility. However, they also said that the pan might crack since ii is aluminum. I'll check out heli-coil anyway. I'm really thinking about selling the car, but I have invested a lot into it and would hate to part with it.
