IMHO - The *best* flowing intake money can buy is...
- properly sized 3 1/2" MAF adapter
- Largest (non inverse cone) K&N filter you can fit
- Heat shield
Then for colder air (not true cold air...the cdw-27 MAF does not and will not ever like forced air, just will not work) you can run a dryer hose or something to supply cold air to the filter area where the stock fender snorkel would be (remove that too!).
Build your own with a combination of an adapter and a filter...pipe is optional. No currently available "intake kits" will include the best of all worlds.
Building your own intake setup will also cost a signifigant amount less.

And about the KKM...I started with a KKM and now only use the adapter!
