I did a search and found out that this is a fairly common problem. Why does it happen? Pulling the swaybar sounds like a kind of kludgy fix that won't last very long.

Does the swaybar normally move from side to side during normal operation? Are my old bushings binding up and not letting it return to the proper position?

BTW, my car has 93k miles on it.

Thanks for any help! smile

there is an updated swaybar that will correct this. it has stops on both ends to prevent the bar from moving side to side.

1)Disconnect the end links 2)center the bar so it clears frame etc 3)Get some hose the same ID as the bar,cut it 1" long and split it along its length 4)Slip over the bar and slide up to the bushes each side 5)Clamp it to the bar with a hose clip...done, you have stopped the sideways movement ... wink
