I may be doing this today or tommorrow so let me get back to you with details.
I've been looking at the Ford Service CD-ROM and it isn't an easy job but it's not too hard either...from the look of it.
This is copied from the CD-ROM...I'm hoping the crankshaft tool can be borrowed from Autozone or Pepboys. Don't wanna have to buy it for this one thing...but oh well, if I do.
Water Pump - 2.0L
Special Service Tool(s)
Strap wrench
303-D055 (D85L-6000-A)
Removal
1. Note:
Install the memory saver.
Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this Section.
3. Remove the wheel.
µ 4. Remove the right - hand side lower splash shield.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the splash shield.
5. Lower the vehicle.
µ 6. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
7. Remove the accessory drive belt.For additional information, refer to «Section 303-05».
µ 8. Using the special tool, remove the crankshaft pulley.
µ 9. Remove the water pump pulley.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the pulley.
µ 10. Remove the water pump bolts.
µ 11. Note:
Water pump must be turned 180º to remove from the vehicle.
Remove the water pump.
Installation
µ 1. Install the water pump and bolts.
µ 2. Install the water pump pulley and install the pulley bolts hand tight.
µ 3. Using the special tool, install the crankshaft pulley.
4. Install the accessory drive belt.For additional information, refer to «Section 303-05».
µ 5. Tighten the water pump pulley bolts.
µ 6. Install the splash shield.
µ 7. Install the road wheel.
8. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this Section.
