The threads inside my oilpan are completely stripped (no threads) because some jerk at a local oil change shop screwed up large.

How can I fix this problem without replacing the oilpan? One friend stated I could get the oilpan tapped (where they will re-thread the hole with a bigger hole and use a bigger plug). After talking to a guy at Ford he mentioned that this was not possible because my my oilpan is aluminum...is that true?

If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks
Derek
