Differential pressure feedback EGR sensor = DPFE sensor. It's also called EGR pressure transducer.
Measures pressure in EGR exhaust manifold tube at two points to deduce flow thru' EGR valve to intake manifold.
I find it hard to believe they did not suggest EGR valve just to complete their "it could be any one of these parts" diagnosis. I personally would go elsewhere for diagnosis.
p.s. How bad is the hesitation and did check engine light come on coincident with hesitation symptoms?
