Well, while I was out in my girlfriends car last night (in a place that just got rain), my car was at home, outside, getting bombarded with hail. Couldn't see any damage last night, but this morning was a different story. Hood, top, trunk, and front/rear drivers side quarter panels.

Anybody know what I do now? Is this an insurance thing or can places fix it pretty cheap?

This is the one thing I have hated ever since I moved to TX, we have this damn hail season....never had that in GA.

I'm afraid this would be an insurance thing. I have a few small spots on my roof, but they are tiny and only 2 or 3 so I have never done anything about them b/c it is probably more of a pain than it is worth,

You are not the only one here. I was at my friends house in Garland which is about 2miles from my house, we got Golf ball size hail there. My car is all dented to hell, the roof is like it got pimples, my hood is dented and so is my trunk. I don't think my insurance will like my especially after me very recent accident.

Want me to order you that dent puller from the TV?

Sorry to hear about that.

Go get a #5 and you will feel better. I promise. Just drive Jill's car so you won't see the dents.

This year has been unusually heavy with hail and sleet. It usually never happens more than once or twice a season.

Anyway, try looking up paintless dent repair. I've heard it works well with weather damage. Most charge by the dent, the price isn't bad either. Probably not worth getting insurance involved.

yeah, both the Taurus and the tour got it... the Taurus wAS worse. Odd, though, I was driving the tour when the hail started. I have heard that is you let the car sit out in the sun, and run dry ice over the dents some of them may pop out...I have never tried this. we got more hail in Plano today too.

The damage was not near as bad as what I got a couple years ago in Ft Worth though. I'll let you know if I find a good place to get the dents fixied. till then, good luck

oh, and if anyone does the #5 thing soon call me pwease

Sorry to hear about you guys cars. I'm so sorry.

Insurance should take care of it. Just have to pay that horridly ugly deductible. For those that wonder about paintless dent repair, it works. I dated a girl in high school whose dad had his whole truck hammered with hail, and he had it completely fixed through a paintless dent repair shop. It turned out just like new.

I've found that these guys are great. I've had two dents and a large crease pulled from the CIVIC since I've owned it. They are pretty reasonably priced too.

I guess I'll run to Tom Thumb and pickup some dry ice then...just kidding. I heard the same thing, and that if you heat up the spot with a blow dryer, then put regular ice on it, that will work also. But only on small dents that don't have a crease in it.

I hate hail....very much badly.
