Another virtue of the RX-7's: light as a feather.

While you won't be running 10's in it a Miata is a nice choice if you fancy something that handles well.

Depending on how much of a "project" you want it to be, a MG is a pretty neat choice as well.

Ugly as sin, the Merkur XR4ti can really go like stink, so that deserves a nod as well.
