1.8t. vr6 doesn't have a downpipe. I'd go 1.8 for the mods and reliability as long as you kept the boost reasonably low.

For the record, if I could find a gn with low miles and decent insurance, I would sell the contour without a doubt. Heck, I have been thinking about souping up the turbo dodge caravan lately. What is getting into me?
