Suspension to follow. Where would you guys rank KYB's, as compared to the stock struts and Koni?

I was talking to some mechanics at an alignment shop yesterday and they brought these up. They also seemed surprised when I told them I'd consider changing my springs. Wonder why.

Speaking of springs, while I was at Billy Howell scheduling the clutch, I priced (or tried to) the stock springs. The guy had a hard time telling me the price, saying that there was nearly a page of parts that could go with the springs, like washer kits, gaskets, what have ya.

What's your take on this? My guess is that if you bought the stock SVT springs, it would come with whatever parts were needed to mount it. I know some people have used the stock springs with Koni's.

Preciate the info.

I have a mechanic who'll do your springs for $100 all the way around. Great guy, he does a lot of work for the SVTOA in Atlanta. He did mine a while back and I can vouge for his work, even corrected the toe alignment when he was done.

I have no personal experience with the springs in question, but when you buy new springs, all you get is new springs, you don't need bolts and washers or anything like that.

Preciate it man. I'll take him up on it. I assume that's just the labor, right? Can he order the springs or do I need to bring them to him?

I brought my own springs (roush), but he's told me on a few occassions that he has accounts with most major aftermarket supplyers. He's a ford guy too so that helps. He's got this badass gen 1 lightning turboed, it's tight. Plus he's got like 5 or so fastback mustangs he works on just sittin around his shop. Here's his contact info:

He's good people, just tell him that Tim with the red SVT Contour sent ya. You live in cumming? Thats actually close to his shop, he lives off of exit 11 (I think) on 400, it's Sixxes Rd.
