EVR (EGR vacuum regulator) is located on firewall between coil pack and IAC (idle air control) valve. It is black, has a black round "hat" on top of it, two thin vacuum lines coming out the back, and an electrical connector. It is bolted to the top rear of the UIM. It's function is to open and close the EGR (via vacuum control).

FYI: It's a LOT easier to replace than the DPFE.
