I'm experiencing similar symptoms....

Any chance someone could write a step by step how to on this? Or at least give me some sort of directions on how to remove this filter.

Will removing the filter cause any other problems...what is the suggested fix for this? Replacing the fuel pump will just eventually result in the same thing.

Is this in the Hayes Manual, I'll go look?

Thanks

I guess I'm not the only one experiencing this issue afterall....

Some people have responded saying a new fuel pump have solved the problem....are you saying Ford would replace the old unit with a different pump as a whole if you get it fixed at the dealership? If so, does anyone who exactly what part number that is? Perhaps I can buy that new pump unit that'll fix the problem but save on the crazy @ss labor fees at the dealerships.
