Ever since the early to mid-nineties, BMW has completely sold out. Their production numbers have increased, while their quality has severely decreased. Alot of the time when volume goes up, unfortunately, quality suffers for the sake of the bottom line.
Their attempts to sell alot of vehicles based on their "Good Name" is coming back to bite them in the arse. I mean, they even went so far as to build an SUV (SAV in BMW-speak). Porsche also is well on its way to selling out. But at least they make the point that in order to stay independent, they need to sell SUV's. BMW just wants to sell more vehicles.
And would somebody take the pencil out of Chris Bangle's hand! What is he thinking??!!!
