I do not forsee you needing 24lb injectors.

I still do not forsee him needing 24lb injectors for the mild 3L he is describing!
19lb injectors will safely support ~225 FWHP. His "plans" will not come near that level.

I agree. Stock SVt fuel system with an SAFC and he'll be just fine. 24# are fine but not if you have 19# already and have to spend additional money.

I guess i am in kind of the same boat.... i am doing the hybrid 3l in the next few weeks. Right now i have a hi flow maf, intake, under drive pullies, y pipe, bassanie cat back, and super chip. As it stands would i need to go with the 24 injectors, my motors fuel cut off is about 7750 rpm so i am just wondering if the #19 injectors will be able to handle the push up that high in the rpm range. I fully plan on doing a p&p, honing, maybe even bore it out to a 3.5 but i don't have the money for that yet. Just trying to make sure i can have the car running at optimum levels.

Well i am sure that i will get close to that 7750 cut off every once in awhile, but i would like it to run strong all the way there.

1. Is it a dinghy? 2. Ummm.. Okay... (sic - spelling and details about parts help) 3. Why do you say that? Explain your reasoning for needing the 24lb injectors. 4. Okay. That is a good plan. What shop near you has experience doing this? 5. Explain please. 6. Boring out to a 3.5L - This one I have to hear!

Well i was in a hurry so sorry that the details about the parts was a little vague. I was actually trying to find out if i would need the 24 lb injectors or not because i do not have enough knowledge on the issue and i wanted to make sure i had it done right. As far as as the shop, either the one in anacortes that was mentioned earlier in the posts or the guy that owns R Motorsports which is pretty close to me is rebuilding my friends supra from the ground up and he said that he would do my motor for me. Boring out a 3l, another subject i am just learning about but the gentleman at buckshot motorsports seemed to think you could get a 1mm bore out of the block so maybe i am misinformed but i think trying to bash on me about it is a little bit ridiculous. Thought the purpose of the forums was to get information and help with the vehicles and not try and flame those who wanna learn more.

Depending on how much work (I.E. money) you are going to put into the engine will determine if you need 24's.
From what it sounds like they may be a good idea once you are finished.
Boring it 1mm = 3.04L vs 2.97L
Rick is talking about boring the stock liners. Minimal machining.
The block can be bored larger but the cost for such would be very steep for the minor gains (comparably)
However even boring the engine out 5mm (roughly the max estimated limit) would only net you 3.3L
You would have to machine out the cast in liners and then have a set of new liners pressed in. Also depending on the availability of liner diameter the price could get very expensive.
Also the thinner you make the cylinder walls the weaker the block's strutural integrity is.
