i have a recurring problem with battery post corrosion. i will clean it off and a few weeks later it will be back, bad. any idea what could be causing this? battery bad? overcharging? no idea here, clue me in. thanks

Your battery is probably getting old. The seal between the post and case is leaking, causing acid to escape and corrode the post.

it is normal for the posts to corrode. you need to clean up the terminals real good and cover them in grease. that way they won't corrode.

I get a powdery blue crap on mine (+ terminal), anyone else get that ?

that's corrosion. clean it up with a wire brush and coat it with grease.

My OE battery did that on the + terminal. Never could totally prevent it.

Optima orange top took care of the problem.

It has a leak of some sort! A Battery should not have any excessive corosion on it. See if the battery post itself is loose. It's probably leaking from around it.
