If asphalt, a divider, and empty lanes qualifies as a track, then yes, I was on one.
I wouldn't do it again, as at that speed the front-end starts lifting just a touch, especially over slight rises. It's never a good thing when you can crank the steering wheel left and right and still have no problems going straight...
I could only get mine to a buck 55 before I freaked out and let off... road noise at that speed is enough to scare the bejeezus out of you!

did 132 (?) seem to be all she'd do? i kept my foot on the floor in my '97 gl and i couldn't seem to get it much faster... i'm not sure how long i went for, but i do know that it took about a song and a half of the 50 cent cd... it's pretty fun going that fast. anyway, what have you all done to your engine?

She had more in her, the RPM's where still climbing Nothing major really done to the car in terms of performance mods. Just alot of small stuff that I think adds up. Check the website in my sig. Basicly, KKM, removed resonator, Mobil 1, and if you want to count the DMD

the 95's are the only year they had that chrome peice on the bumper. 96+ they had the bumpers painted body color. But yes, I like it better than the chrome strip

It does not matter if it was taken at a track or any other place where such speeds are "safe", there is no way to tell that it was not taken elsewhere. Similarly, posting about your high-speed escapades on public roads is forbidden."
he said it was on a road course did he not. I guess all those nascar and 1/4 miles track boys are idiots..and unsafe. There should be a law with 65mph speed limiters.

when i worked for toyota a few years back i had to take a celica for an antenna install...i was going over a large bridge (skyway for the locals) anyway i as i hit the peak of the bridge i was going 245km/hr and teh whole car drifted almost one lane left and then right with me not turning the wheel at all....i tell you i [censored] my pants...let off the gas put it in 5th and went 80 the whole way back....honestly since then i realized there is no point in going that fast over a 200 foot bridge on a windy day....
Works on contingency, no money down.....oh wait let me change a few things....Works on Contingency? NO, Money Down!!!!
