so last night i came out of my friends apartment in a not so great area, and my car was gone. no biggie i thought, it must have been towed since that happens there a lot when you don't have a sticker. call the police and they have no record so they send out a squad car. the officer takes out his flashilight and starts to look around and low and behold, glass all over the ground. this is a problem in NoVa as lately there have been a lot of auto thefts. i'm so pissed and now the insurance says that i have to wait 10 business days in case it's recovered. anyone have a cheapo car i could buy?

My early 98 SVT E0, Build date 4/30/97 has PATS, FWIW.
Sorry to hear about your loss. On the upside, you'll probably get more from the insurance co than you would selling or trading it.
So it's not all bad, just inconvenient.

Yea, you may be better off depending on what your Ins. co. offers you. I had my car broken into, so I know what its like, not exactly a good feeling. But once everything settles I came out way ahead, I would like to take this time to thank those thieven bastards

April Fools?
To Steal a car with PATS they would use a flatbed, hence no broken glass...

Damn, that sucks. I didn't think thieves knew how to steal MTX cars anymore.

I was thinking the same thing about an April fools gag. However, it is probably easier to flatbed if you break the window and put the car in neutral, and release the brakes.

I did think it might be a gag but a pretty lame one if it is.
