205/40??? Dude, you're going to destroy your car, the weight rating on those is a lot lower than our HEAVY 60/40 FWD cars needs, if you brake hard on a pot hole or surface irregularity, brace yourself for surprises. . .215/45 is perfect, won't screw your speedo up either.

what would be a good tire size if you were going to get 18 inch rims?

Heh, no offense, but if you had read the thread you would have seen I decided to go with 215/40(5?)/17.
Thanks for your input though, i think youre right.
The major reason I was going to get 205 is because thats the size that most packages come in (on ebay and other websites)

Hey Qbert -- I just did the BG for the RS-5 setup; did you need to get any hubcentric spacers, or did you just go with lugcentric?

I thought they were hubcentric to begin with. Anyway, I didn't buy anything extra with mine. The only thing that I had to do when mounting mine was to take the metal ring off from around the hub. The RS-5's have a plastic piece inserted that does the same thing.

235 width, do you get any rubbing??
I'm not gonna lower my car because I want to keep my car "factory" But, I've decided to put 215/45-17 on FSVT wheels. This way I've got SVT rims and nice 17" tires.
If 235/40-17 doesn't rub, I might have to reconsider. Wider is better

No rubbing with 235-40-17. 225-45-17 will work also. If you don't want to lower, which I don't either, I would go with 225-45-17. The 235 fit well, but the 225-45 are a touch taller and would fill the wheel well another 1/4 of an inch. And with added sidewall protection for your rims.
Good luck!
