I also noticed while poking around that there seems to be some oil that is showing up on the outside of the tube that the PCV mounts into. Could the PCV be clogged and causing a problem??

I used the same pipe cap for about 3 months and I never had any problems. At first, it would stall on me when cold and I made the hole a little bit bigger and it was fine after that. no more stalling and I have a cold idle.

You have to realize, that i live at a diffrent altitude and climate than you.....ANd for most people, the diffrent hole sizes work.....And I am talking about the diffrent changes in seasons as well....For me (and many other CEGer;s in my area) we need 2 because of the large differmces in climate form winter to summer....Lately its been a really cold winter for the BAy area, (below 30 degrees at night no more than 50 during the day) and the summers have been really hot 90+. Becasue of that i needed 2 hole sizes.

But i will say this....not all people experience this....some actually just need one size (again dependant on climate). I thought it would be something he could try and may correct his problem.
