naa man, just replace the TB cable w/ a focus one... nothing big. Cant quote you a price, but go ask a parts guy, shouldn't be much of a deal to do.

I have some bad news about the manifold that steeda sells. The Tech guy i talked to said it takes "extensive modifying to get it to fit the focus" and that i would have to drill and slot 9 holes and make a plate to fit the throttle body...that is if i use the stock one. Anyone else know anything about this.I am upset, i was really planning on getting it. I don't have the tools to drill and slot.

I wouldn't say that the modification's are "extensive"; a dremel and a metal grinder tip handled the job quite nicely(you just have to slot the holes for the bolts so it line up right). The Ford Racing manifold(I don't know if that is the same on Steeda sells) actually bolts right up to a escort ZX2 and contour zetec heads, but requires modification to fit the Ford Racing Focus Cylinder head... the throtle cable and adapter plate for an after market Focus TB is no big either, just use plenty of gasket maker around it. The TPS was a bit of a biyatch though.

yes you'll need a Focus TB cable and TPS. I still think you could make a Contour TPS work, but i'm too impatient.

Excuse my ignorance, but where is the TPS located. Maybe i already know what it is, i just call it something different than you guys do. A pic would be even better though

Do you guys think Bill Jenkins could help me out with a discount from ford racing if i asked? Just for the throttle body and Intake manifold? Or is that one of those situations where I would have to know him personaly....

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor, black plastic cylinder with wires on the side of the throttle body.

Ok, just making sure....Why is it hard to get it to fit the focus throttle body? Are they that different.
