I did a search on clutches and found zilch. Maybe I drive mine more than other people, but I've got 109K and I need to replace the clutch. Actually the pressure plate is starting to get week, clutch still grabs fine, but it's all getting done. I'm in Atlanta.

I found a good shop in Roswell that's done work for me before. They want $1400, saying it's an all-day job. Billy Howell Ford wants $1300. Any mistake that might happen would seem to have a better chance of getting fixed with 10 or so ford techs standing around, but wanted to see what ya'll thought.

Any body know a place that will do a good job on putting this clutch in? I'll spend the money but I want the thing tight.

Appreciate any help.

ford says it's 10 book hours of labo so for them to say an all day job is correct... me personally I wouldn't take it somewhere unless they have seen the inside of the MTX-75 before, and just because it's a ford dealership doesn't mean they have done work in our tranny before what I would do is ask them same for the other place. BTW while your getting it done I would throw a LSD in wouldn't add much to the labor cost if any cause they will already have it taken apart.

That was a deal then through somebody you know. I can have mine done for $450 plus parts. But once again....you have to know somebody to get these prices.

OOOOKKKKKKKKK.....putting notes on frige...."Drive to FLA when I need clutch work done!" 500!!!!!!!!!! That is awesome! I would sleep in my car while they worked on it and hey, turn around and drive it back just to put the wear in miles on it!

But then I am crazy like that

I just installed my centerforce clutch, fidanza flywheel and quaife LSD (well, I paid a tranny shop to do the LSD because I didn't have access to the proper tools to do it myself). If you have air tools and a decent hand tool collection (lots of metric tools ) I'd be more than happy to spend a day to help you install a clutch. And it will take a FULL day. But seriously, send me a pm if your interested and I'd be more than happy to help you out. I've also got pics of my install which I'll post as soon as I get back to atlanta on wednesday.

Damn. Appreciate the offer. I'd take you up on it in a heartbeat if I had the tools. And a day to blow.

It looks like Billy Howell Ford and a stock clutch for me. I know I'm not going to be able to drag a centerforce in there and have them put that in.

That doesn't bother me. Everything on this car is bone stock. I've done maximun maintenance on her and it feels like I'll get another 100k easily.

This clutch is getting done next week and immidiately following that is the suspension - springs and struts. I'll let my other shop do that. Any thoughts on it? I would strongly consider aftermarket, but I don't want it lowered at all. I also don't want it so stiff that it feels like a go-cart!

Thanks for the help!
