Wow, I have never heard of anyone doing that.

Can anyone tell me why schools have kids pledging allegiance to a flag anyway? I would have no problem pledging alleging to our country or to its ideals. If I had to choose between being loyal to our flag or to our country (there is a difference) I would choose our country and I would want my children to do the same.

Why Not:

I Pledge Allegiance To the United States of America
And to the Ideals for Which it Stands
One Nation
Indivisible
With Liberty and Justice for All

Would anyone object to that?
