The LIM is a little work to get off (fuel rail and wiring harness) but takes less than an hour to get off. The LIM butterflies will be caked with stuff...I think that's where I spent most of my time, as the UIM, you can only reach so far inside. There's a how to on the TB optimizing...the concept is the same for the LIM, though getting the butterflies and rods out of the LIM is something I don't know how.

I guess just take it as it comes. If you take the UIM off and the LIM looks o-k...don't worry about it. But my feeling is that when you see it...you'll want to remove it.
