I still am not clear on your "ground rules" for victory. Speed? Quality? Reliability? If it is speed, then obviously the SVT is the fastest (or is it?). But you are comparing the GL to the weakest Civic of them all. Why not the VTEC? One thing I would like to say is that I would bet the 10 fastest street legal civics in the world are all faster than the fastest street legal contour svt in the world. It's all about the aftermarket, and the Contour doesn't have one. At any rate, I don't own a Civic, never will, and if I had my choice, I wouldn't own a Contour right now. But you play the cards you are dealt.
