I thought the lowest Contour Model was the GL so I put it against the 2nd lowest Civic model the DX. Isn't the lowest Civic model the hybrid, the funny looking Model with 97hp? By the way it all comes down to the owner when you talk about Reliability. Regardless of the make, if it ( any car ) is well kept then it'll last you a good 10 - 15 years or more.
Here's a good way to put it, a dog wouldnt be very reliable to his/her master if his master treated him poorly now would it?

Bro why are you backing Civic's then? I mean I know it's wrong for me to flame that particular car, but it's all fun and games. I'd take anything that run's if I lost my SVT. You say you wouldnt own a Standard Contour? You might want to buy an SVT and see the difference 
because differences between the GL, LX ,SE, and the SVT Contour models arent hard to notice.
