Cuervo,
Got mine today...thanks again for putting together this GB.

Question: Did you have any install issues, i.e. heating and bending, for the Y-pipe to fit correctly (like the Brullen exhaust)? I know Brullen/Perf Fords made an extra effort so this would not happen again.

Blorton: the O-2 bung is there on the side closest to the firewall.

NO probs at ALL. It fits like a glove and went on without all that much time and effort. But I recomned if your gonna do it your self, to burn a hole can of WD-40 on all the nuts you have to take off. I had Impact air tools, and it still was kind hard to remove the factory nuts. But just lube them up and go for it. Thanks

SVTCuervo,

Did you end up putting any heat wrap on the pipe that comes close to the oil pan? How long did it take you to install it?
Do you feel any torque increases down low for city speed driving?

Thanks,

I didn't put any heat wrap or anything on it. But you can feel the difference throughout the entire curve. And you'd can't believe how mcuh smoother everything is now. this is truely an amazing MUST DO mod.

As for time, I have a friend with a lift and air tools, and he let me use it. 30mins with lots of interuptions.

I'm glad to hear that the Y-pipe is putting a smile on your face. I hope to get mine installed soon. Hopefully an electric impact wrench will be good enough along with some PB Blaster.

Have you noticed any difference in sound or any drone?

I agree with one of the posts above. I too was in on this very early, and haven't gotten a tracking number yet either. In retrospect, waiting this long just doesn't justify the price savings. Sorry for the sour grapes, but I think it's important you know the result of keeping this thing going so long.

Well guys several shipped today(like 8) and I haven't yet got the tracking #'s. Tommorow I will try with all my might to get those #'s to ya'll. And as for the waiting, i know it is frustrating, but we ran into several bumps along the way(developing a cougar Y-pipe on the same platform). I can assure you guys, after you install it, you'll know it was worth the wait. Thanks

How much longer before any y-pipes trickle down to those of us on Neco?

SVTCuervo:
OK, I'm trying to hang in there. Sorry for whining. Great to hear that it's worth it. I'm driving from SC to Montreal in three weeks (see the CHAMP--or CART or whatever they're calling that series this week--race) and definitely want the pipe on my 'Tour before I hit the road.
Any updates will be appreciated, and thanks again.
