Acura took a look at my car and said Circuit City did a hack-job install of the alarm. One of the wires shorted out and hence the starter kill was permanently engaged. More proof that aftermarket stuff isn't always the best.

$100 for the tow + $94 for Acura to diagnose & fix the problem = BAD! I'm going to talk to the manager at Circuit City tomorrow and having them pay for it. They guarantee all installs for life.

I guess if you want something done right you gotta do it yourself.

Hey man I'm on Spring Break next week so maybe we could meet up or something. I'll be back from AZ on Thursday night. Just go shoot the [censored] and get lunch. Who knows.

aftermarket stuff is only as good as the install, circuit city and those chains have such a high employee turnover rate they have a hard time keeping good

The alarm system and an ameteur CB radio install in my old wagon messed up the air bag circuit and a few other things. It would cost $700 to fix the air bag, so it's NADA. I had the power locks, dash lights, and clean up of the dash wires done for $50, instead. Well worth the time and headaches.

How did you have your radio wired up? And how many watts were you running?

The radios were taken out and a mess of wires and brakets were left behind, under the dash. It had the engine computer dangling over the gas pedal. All cleaned up now, just the Air bag sensors are fried, so no air bag functionality.
