jeffyscott made a very good suggestion. many of the installers are tire dealers in their own right, but aren't supposed to make any offers to tirerack customers that are coming in just for installs. the installer i've got told me some of the prices he can get for me, but mentioned he's not allowed to sell them to me because of his deal w/ the tire rack. if you just do a search on the tire rack website for nearby installers, you'll probably find a few other places to comparison shop that are also local.
