I guess people like Jimmy Hendrex, Janace Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Kobain, all are crap when it comes to being an artist because they al died at age 27 due to things they did in their personal life.

While I question even remotely relating Emimem to Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison, or Kurt Cobain- the fact does stand that he is indeed being recognized for his music, which I completely agree with. I personally can't stand his music, but I can acknowledge his creativity. Sure he's a bit of a nutcase, but in a way, so are a majority of the musicians in the industry. If he wasn't a nutcase, he'd have nothing to rap about. I wouldn't miss him, but he seems to be pretty popular.

Music awards really don't mean anything to me anyway. Most of the music I like would never sniff some pompous self-involved industry award show. There's countless bad songs and musicians that have won awards, oh well.
