M&M has come a long way from the first CD's repeating lyrics. The actual story telling of the second album carries the songs a lot further into POP radio than most rap albums ever go.
As for questioning the subject matter... How many of you grew up not in just disagreement with your parents, but actual physical battles with them? How many abuse alcohol and perscription drugs while they beat the crap out of you? Ever had a spouse do the same? It's easy to say what you would do when you've never had to deal with the same situation.
Just for my information, is there any song he has that he actually talks about hitting women, or actually shooting them? From what I've heard, it's all about what he wanted to do, then found better ways to deal with the situation, then talks about it through his music. It's almost therapy.
