Just seeing if everyone is still alive?? I'm barely my car is slowly coming along last weekend i put the sunroof back in. I removed the door panels and drivers seat and vaccuumed hopefully the last of the glass from the old sunroof. I started installing my new brakes today, the rears are done and look pretty. I'm still waiting on the front calipers from ford. My SS braklines are backordered so I'll wit to put those on after I get it inspected. I'm gonna buy that parts car in april. So I'll be working on it for a week or so to strip it down and put the parts in my car. So maybe soon I'll have some svt parts for sale. just letting ya'll know. Peace out

I'm still alive, but I'm in the middle of an internal philosophical debate. I'm trying to decide whether to mod my '98 SE this summer (which would be about $3000 in mods) or start seriously shopping for an SVT. I've been checking around, and no one in the area has an SVT. I found one in Beaver Dam, but the next day the listing was gone...

If I get an SVT, I'd keep my SE and find winter storage. I like my SE, but I can't get over the fact that's its an ATX. Maybe if we get together to change that clutch y'all can convince me one way or the other...

I'm on the far south side of Milwaukee, right off of I94. I found one (Silver Frost) in Plainfield at a dealer, but they're asking way too much for it, even with low mileage. There's another one in WI, but I'm not sure where (I have to call the number on the listing), that has a whole bunch of mods.

Everything I've found is more than 80 miles away. That's not ridiculous, but it basically limits me to shopping on Saturdays. I also have a couple of particulars, like no T-red and mileage under 50000. I know I shouldn't be picky, but if I'm going to get an SVT, I want it to be near-perfect.

That one was a nice car. Real clean. My brother and I test drove it. They were a couple of flaws though. Like someone had caught the corner of the rear bumper by the gas door and cracked it and the trim around the outside of the windshield was peeling up. Other than that, no scratches or dings that I could see. Needed tires bad too.

Was a green '99? What town was it in? I'd be willing to fix the bumper if the price is knocked down a bit.

Dude hetfield the guy I'm buying the parts car from has another svt that he's swapping motors in and might be selling it. I'm not really sure if he'll be selling it but I could check it out for you I have to call him anyways. It's a black 98 I think it has 18's on it already and a wing that actually looks good. It is sweet me and chris were drooling on it when we went and looked at the parts car. Otherwise I'd say look for an se sport and just mod the brakes and suspension. Make a good handling car and save your pennies for a turbo I've been getting stupid thoughts at times about saving for awhile and just doing it I'll call him and let you know what he says about his SVT.

"I also have a couple of particulars, like no T-red and mileage under 50000. "

Hetfield whats wrong with T-red tour's I am insulted :

I am still just bumming around waiting for the bodykit and the rear strut tower bar I ordered.

I wouldnt mind helping you put a clutch in. I have never done anything like that so I wouldn't be a whole lot of help. But I could watch and learn.(I am sure I will have to put a new one in some time down the road)

lol, sorry Doug I don't know why I don't like red Contours; I think its just the particular T-red shade that Ford went with.
