but minus a 100hp or so The 6 is but every dyno shows weak numbers for a car that highly talked about.
A little OT, I was over at Stangnet, new 03 cobra with a KB SC ran 9.99 (was heavily modded) but others are running in the mid 11's just swapping blowers (650+ hp ). May be a stang and it may be as common as air, but thats damn fast for the cash ($38k with mods)
03 Cobras with a pully change, chip, headers, x-pipe, exhaust, intake and TB are getting into the high 11s.
At 20 psi, the Kenne Bells are adding 251 RWHP and 230+ RWTQ to a stock 03 Cobra w/ 12" filter.
Please excuse me while I go daydream....

I agree. The styling took a nose dive off the high board into the ugly pool.
Very akin to the same dive the WRX took upon entry into the US market. Ripples from it's hideousness are still apparent even under it's updated fascia.

Also 9.5 in the 1/8 is TERRIBLE for an EVO. It should be significantly faster in the 1/8th comparatively to it's 1/4 mile time based on the traction benefits of AWD.
Heck I run 9.5's and we're burdened with FWD and low launch rpm!

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

I went to raceway park in NJ this weekend and one of the new evo 8 ran a 12.7 @107. He also took it very easy on the launch. The only mods that were done was he unbolted the exhaust from cat back and bigger front mount intercooler. No boost controller either. He was running stock boost

There was more done to the car than that.. It was chipped, and had a few other tricks as well..
