Often times alloy wheels will develop slow leaks due to corrosion. My understanding is the fix is they do some grinding on edge of wheels where tire seals to clean this up and make a nice smooth surface and then tire seals again. If you are getting new tires they should do this before mounting the new tires.
I'd let them know about the slow leak so they check that wheel carefully as could be wheel damage as mentioned in the other reply, instead of just corrosion.
I also heard from mechanic recently that if they use non-water based lubricant when mounting new tires corrosion problem is less likely to occur.
