Recently, I found one of my front tires
leaks slowly.
And also these front tires are worn heavily,
therefore I am considering replacing them.

Will this solve the leakage problem?

I don't know how the tire of car is inflated.
Is there a tube inside the tire, just like
the bicycle, which holds the air?

Thanks for your input.

There isnt a tube like in a bike tire, The pressure inside the tire itself seals it around the rim. You might want to check to see if you have a bend on the edge of the rim from smacking a pot-hole or something of that matter. I had a slow leak once and that was the problem. Hope this helps.

Often times alloy wheels will develop slow leaks due to corrosion. My understanding is the fix is they do some grinding on edge of wheels where tire seals to clean this up and make a nice smooth surface and then tire seals again. If you are getting new tires they should do this before mounting the new tires.

I'd let them know about the slow leak so they check that wheel carefully as could be wheel damage as mentioned in the other reply, instead of just corrosion.

I also heard from mechanic recently that if they use non-water based lubricant when mounting new tires corrosion problem is less likely to occur.

If you can manage to find a tub or something big enough to completely submerge your tire, do that and see where an air bubble starts to form. You could also have bad valve stems.

I love my Contour to death, but my 'vette is still my #1 baby.
There's money to be made in racing. I should know. I put a lot of it there.
You can make a small fortune in racing. Start with a large one.
How fast do you want to go...how much money do you have?
You can fix a lot of things, but you can't fix stupid!
