I think people have too much pride. The flag of a country or the national anthem are symbols. The people are what matters. A lot of mothers and fathers are going to loose their sons and daughters in the war. That is the price we pay for freedom.

I was having a conversation with some people today about some power supplies that used vacuum tubes. They commented that they were old power supplies because they used vacuum tubes. I mentioned that I heard that the Russians still used vacuum tubes because they were more dependable. What I really meant was that vacuum tubes would be more dependable in the event of a nuclear war because they would handle the spike voltage better. I had read that in a magazine and I don't know for sure if it is true. The people I was talking too left right away. They said Russians use vacuum tubes because that is all they can afford. I think people are too touchy about nationalities. People are people no matter where you live.

The U.S. needs all the help we can get in the war against terrorism. We need to stay friends with the other countries even though we do not agree on everything.
