It's a little strange, but strange isn't always bad. I would look into some muffler tips and get them welded on, but the wheels fit the car well. Most people prefer the thin spoke wheels here, but I don't mind the more solid looking wheels a bit. It's definetely a nice looking ride either way, aside from the missing tips. I even like the dropped mufflers too. Sometimes excess can look really good and I think this is one of those cases.

In most cases, you can tell a person's preference by thier own car. Most the people who will tell you they hate it have the OEM look going, with the original everything. I personally like people making changes to distinguish thier cars, sometimes it's detrimental (yellow painted accents on a blue car) but sometimes it looks nice.

Frank, I'm sorry mate, but those wheels scream "Wigger-Lowrider-Wannabe". They don't suit the Cougar AT ALL, IMHO.. Deep dish wheels are one thing, but incorrect offset, retro-stylr, chrome wheels are another thing all together and are out of place on your car. Your gonna see wheel bearing issues down the road, then you will be pissed.

As for the exhaust, try having them remounted on shorter hangers, so that they sit up higher behind the bumper, add some decent tips and it would help a lot.

^^ see, there's a helpful comment. Not "Why did you do this? Why did you show us this? Why do I bother?" I like the car just because it looks different, perhaps a little goofy, but he's not modding his car to get my approval. Way to be Frank.

I usually don't say/do this but I agree, they need to go into hiding. To me it looks like (2) old-style machine guns or something. The only thing I can think of is maybe he is getting a body kit that will cover it up Also those rims look to be billit aluminum, good luck keeping those looking good and I have a suggestion for that too. Get some never dull (it comes in alittle silver can) or Mothers wheel polish, but heres the trick, when you wipe off most/all of the polish, get another clean towel and spray the wheel with glass cleaner to remove the excess black stuff. The black stuff is normal because of the material your rims are made of and the glass cleaner does something and really brings out the the "bling-bling"
