THEY SHOULD BE HANDLED LOCALLY, BY CITIES OR STATES
I feel better now.
The president's number one job is national security, and that is the problem he is working on.
So get in touch with your local folks and ask them what they are doing about jobs, education, and encouraging citizens to save for their own retirements.
It is not the job of the federal government to hand out checks to the people.
It IS the job of the federal government to provide a national defense, implement foreign policy, and provide defense of the constitution.
Everything else, the federal government should get out of today.

I disagree. When you have a national issue such as the economy, health care, SS, I believe it's the President's job as CEO of this nation to be involved in making things better.
And the constitution is not a be all end all document. It is meant as a guide to be interpreted. Some people's interpretations are different than others.
I agree with BP. The education and health of the Nation are not, I believe, best served by private enterprise. Private enterprise has to answer to shareholders who seem to have a louder voice than sick old men and little kids in 2nd grade.
There is a place for business in healthcare but the Govt. should retain oversight.
Bless our servicemen & women overseas.
